What is a pressure regulator?

The role of the pressure regulators is to reduce the pressure of the gas inside the plants in which it is conveyed, whether it is civil or industrial. In fact, excessive gas pressure can lead to different problems with totally different risks and consequences:
- Excessive consumption: high pressures can lead to greater losses with consumptions of considerable importance both from an environmental and economic point of view;
- Damage to health: gas leaks and explosions can cause significant damage to buildings and persons who are in the vicinity of the system;
- Wear of components: devices that are designed to operate at a certain pressure, while considering all the safety factors, can over time undergo wear with consequent replacements that can cause downtime or malfunctions.
For these reasons, the choice of a correct pressure regulator is not negligible and requires experience and professionalism. Furthermore, establishing an efficient maintenance and control plan allows you to prevent the problems listed above and extend the useful life of the component in operation.

Advantages of the balanced pressure regulators present in the Gnali Bocia catalog

In the Gnali Bocia catalog there are two different types of balanced pressure regulators, namely the FG100 (and FGB100) series and the BHP100 series.
As regards the first type of regulators, they have the following characteristics:
- Compact design: easy to implement in installations;
- Suitable for low, medium or high pressures;

- Complete balancing with balanced shutter that contrasts the variations in pressure upstream;
- Spring operated that allows optimal and responsive control;

- Presence of inlet and outlet control pressure gauge;

- Presence of a synthetic rubber membrane for insulation.

In fact, in addition to choosing the model, it is essential to correctly know the main parameters of the system to avoid errors that can lead to the consequences discussed above.
