The features of shutoff valves

The shutoff valve is one of the elements which make up the safety devices of systems containing both gaseous and liquid fluids in motion.

Already from the name, it is easy to understand the aim and function of this component: to stop or ‘shut off’ the flow from a pipe or tube and divert it in a specific direction.
